چکیده

Converting web data to semantic format is an important task for the next generation of the web. A huge amount of web data is stored in databases. Moreover, many approaches are proposed to map between DB and web ontologies. This paper proposes an approach to convert DB to RDF with extra user-defined rules. These extra rules, which extend the original data, enable semantic query engines to answer more queries. The proposed approach generates RDF data, which represents not only the original relational database but also extra discovered relations based on user defined rules. A prototype for the proposed approach is applied on a large database to show the effectiveness of the proposed idea. Key-Word:Mapping DB to RDF; Semantic web; Discover relations; Data representation

Converting DB to RDF with Additional Defined Rules

In linked data, web resources and data are represented into RDF. The new web of linked data should be completely machine-understandable. Moreover, since the start of Linking Open Data project, more and more providers publish linked data. Therefore, converting DB into RDF is important because a large amount of web data stored in databases. This work presents an approach for converting DB to RDF ...

RETRO: A Framework for Semantics Preserving SQL-to-SPARQL Translation

There have been several attempts to make RDBMS and RDF stores inter-operate. The most popular one, D2RQ, has explored one direction i.e. to look at RDBMS through RDF lenses. In this paper we present RETRO, which investigates the reverse direction i.e. to look at RDF through Relational lenses. RETRO generates a relational schema from an RDF store, enabling a user to query RDF data using SQL. A s...

R2O, an Extensible and Semantically Based Database- to-ontology Mapping Language

We present R2O, an extensible and declarative language to describe mappings between relational DB schemas and ontologies implemented in RDF(S) or OWL. R2O provides an extensible set of primitives with welldefined semantics. This language has been conceived expressive enough to cope with complex mapping cases arisen from situations of low similarity between the ontology and the DB models.

Natural Language Aggregate Query over RDF Data

Natural language question/answering over RDF data has received widespread attention. Although there have been several studies that have dealt with a small number of aggregate queries, they have many restrictions (i.e., interactive information, controlled question or query template). Thus far, there has been no natural language querying mechanism that can process general aggregate queries over R...

Silk Server - Adding missing Links while consuming Linked Data

The Web of Linked Data is built upon the idea that data items on the Web are connected by RDF links. Sadly, the reality on the Web shows that Linked Data sources set some RDF links pointing at data items in related data sources, but they clearly do not set RDF links to all data sources that provide related data. In this paper, we present Silk Server, an identity resolution component, which can ...
